There are ten foods that doctors and nutritionists agree to give you better health. These ten foods are:

  1. Sweet potatoes because they are one of the best vegetables you can eat. Sweet potatoes are full of potassium, fiber and Vitamin C.
  2. Grape tomatoes are a super food because they are as healthy as regular tomatoes yet super easy to eat because they are bite sized! Grape tomatoes are full of Vitamin C, Vitamin A and fiber.
  3. Milk that is either fat free (skim), 1% or soy is a super food because it provides your body with calcium, protein and tons of vitamins.
  4. Broccoli is a super health food because it is chock full of Vitamin C, folic acid and carotenoids. Broccoli may not be popular or the first choice of vegetable, but steam it and add lemon juice for a bit friendlier of a taste.
  5. Wild salmon is completely full of omega-3 fats which helps decrease the chances of heart disease and this is why wild salmon is number 5 on our super foods list. However make sure your wild salmon is really wild because it has been proven that farmed salmon has bad contaminants like mercury which defeat the purpose of it being a super food.
  6. Did you know you can actually get your bread craving (sort of) with a super food? That’s right crisp breads are our number 6 super food because they are full of fiber and usually offered as a fat free option at grocery stores. What are crisp breads? Ry Krisp, Ryvita and whole grain rye crackers.
  7. Brown rice is another super food that might satisfy your bread or at least your carb cravings. Brown rice is full of Vitamins B-6 and E, fiber and magnesium and copper and zinc.
  8. Citrus fruit is our 8th best food for ultimate health and energy because citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruits and Clementine are full of Vitamin C, fiber and folic acid.
  9. Diced Butternut Squash is a super food because it has tons of Vitamins A and C as well as fiber.
  10. Spinach and Kale (there are actually 11 foods if you count them both) have many vitamins such as Vitamins A, C and K as well as iron, lutein and magnesium.
