There is one recipe, which can open all your senses: the chilli baby octopus stir-fry with broccolini. All you need is 30 minutes for preparing this healthy seafood dish.
The basic ingredients are 500g cleaned baby octopus, 1 tbs peanut oil, 3 garlic cloves,2 chopped red chilies, 2 bunches of broccolini – cut into florets, 2 tbs sweet chili sauce, 1 tbs finely grated fresh ginger, 1/3 cup tomato sauce, 1 tbs brown sugar and steamed rice for serving.
The first step is to prepare the baby octopuses – remove the heads below the eyes and cut the tentacles in half. Add the half of them in heated oil and fry for 3 minutes. Set them into plate and do the same with the remaining octopus, but make sure the pan is heated.
Preparing the perfect sauce is the very next move – add together garlic, ginger and chili. Stir-fry for 1 minute and put the broccolini into the mixture. Stir and cook for less than 4 minutes, until smooth. Then add the tomato sauce, sugar, sweet chili and leave it to boil for 2 minutes. At the end, just add the octopus inside and stir the whole mixture for 1 minute. You can serve with rice, but don’t cool the dish.
