In case you want to try something new, but very delicious, here is a special recipe for a cream and cheese pasta sauce. The ingredients you need are: 600 ml of milk, 40 g of flour, 40 g of butter, 55 g of Cheddar cheese, 30 g of Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and a pinch of cayenne pepper. The preparation is very easy and it doesn’t take long. The first step is to melt the butter into a large saucepan.
Melt until smooth and add the flour. Mix them well and you will get a soft paste. Cook it for minute or two and add the milk as you make sure it is not cold. Whisk and stir, in order to make the mixture softer. Cook the sauce over medium heat until it starts to thicken.
Simmer for approximately 5 minutes, but be careful not to boil it. Remove from the heat and add the Cheddar and the Parmesan. Stir for a while and add the mixture back to heat. Stir well until the cheeses melt.
In case you are fan of the Gorgonzola cheese, you can add it instead of the Cheddar. The original Italian recipe includes 3 slices prosciutto and parsley, so you can add them too. Mix well and season with cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper. Serve with macaroni or any other type of pasta.
