There are many delicious cakes that can be made at home. Most cakes include a basic mixture of flour, butter, sugar, eggs and baking powder. The “Washington Cake”

This cake requires you to make a topping as well as a batter, which are finally brought together. The topping is made first and includes melted unsalted butter, brown sugar, pineapple slices, and optional ingredients like maraschino cherries/walnuts/pecans.Butter and sugar are mixed and spread evenly over a baking pan, and pineapple slices are arranged on top. Next, the batter is made with all-purpose flour, baking powder, eggs, softened unsalted butter, sugar, pineapple juice, and vanilla. You can also add ground spices such as cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, cardamom, and ginger but this is optional. The batter is then combined properly and poured over the pineapple slices. The cake is cooked in the lower third of an oven and is inverted before serving (at room temperature).
The “Boston Cream Pie”
The filling is made with all-purpose flour,eggs, unsalted butter, milk, vanilla, sugar, salt, and you can also add rum.This is made first, cooked in a saucepan and set aside to cool. Next, the batter is made, divided into two separate cake tins, and baked in the center of the oven. The batter requires you to combine all-purpose flour with sugar, baking powder, egg, salt, soft unsalted butter, milk, and vanilla.
The glaze includes chocolate, sugar, water melted together over a double boiler, and to which vanilla and butter are added.The glaze is allowed to stand and thicken before it is used. The cake is assembled by spreading filling on one cake, placing another cake on top and pouring over the glaze.
